AOD-9604
Anti-Obesity Drug 9604
Also: Tyr-hGH Fragment 176-191
§ Overview
A modified fragment of human growth hormone (amino acids 176-191) specifically designed for fat loss without the growth-promoting effects of full GH. AOD-9604 stimulates lipolysis (fat breakdown) and inhibits lipogenesis (fat storage). It was developed as an anti-obesity drug.
§ Mechanism
Mimics the lipolytic (fat-burning) region of growth hormone. Stimulates beta-3 adrenergic receptors on adipocytes, increasing fat oxidation. Unlike full GH, it does not affect IGF-1 levels, blood glucose, or tissue growth. May also have cartilage regenerative properties.
§ Common Uses
- → Fat loss
- → Weight management
- → Cartilage repair
- → Metabolism boost
§ Reported Side Effects
- · Headache (mild)
- · Injection site irritation
- · Flu-like symptoms (rare)
