KPV

Lys-Pro-Val

Also: Alpha-MSH C-terminal tripeptide

Lys-Pro-Val

animal studyin vitro

A naturally occurring tripeptide derived from the C-terminal end of alpha-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). KPV has potent anti-inflammatory properties and has shown promise in treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), skin conditions, and infections. It works without the tanning/sexual effects of full melanocortin peptides.

Enters cells and directly inhibits inflammatory signaling by blocking NF-κB nuclear translocation. Reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β). Has direct antimicrobial properties against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.
